jduck,  a little more than we can spend right now, thanks for the heads up

This is for our youngest son Dom.  He is at Ft Benning right now and graduates AIT in 6 weeks, so I got a little time.  Rob loves the duramax, I mean he really loves it.

I will keep my eye's out. The used market is screwed up right now...everyone wants 5-10K more than what something is worth.

Does it have to be a truck? My Dad has a real nice 4x4 2 door tahoe he would probably sell. I think its a 96 or 97 model.

Yeah it's tax time so all the prices go out the roof.

the prices been crazy,  I think the lost cost of gas has something to do with it too.  When it was between $3 & $4 a gallon, these "gas guzzler" trucks were hard to sale.

He would like a truck, he said he likes an Avalanche too but the "no plastic" version.  If we find something too nice for him, I'll keep it and he can have mine

Weird that you said Avalanche zeke, I've noticed a ton of them lifted lately. Mostly in Canton,Woodstock and Kennesaw area.

What's a ballpark budget?

we would like to be around $6,000 but probably $8,000 max.  He'll go back to college (UNG) in the fall.  He will get some money from his active reserve National Guard duty but that isn't much.   We got to spend some time with him last weekend and he said he would be good with a TJ too.  I know he really wants a 4x4 truck, if I have a choice it will be GM.  Same budget for a TJ, 6 cylinder w/auto
